Are you searching for unique venues or simply sticking to what you know?
There is plenty of merit to sticking with what you know – using the same venue often means that you know the staff, have fewer surprises and are probably saving on costs. However, it might get tired both for you and your audience.
When planning corporate events the usual suspects that come to mind are hotels and convention centres, which should rightly be your first port of call when looking for pricing. However if you have time you might want to branch out slightly.
What about Art Galleries, Theatres, Government Buildings e.g. City Halls, Universities, Corporate Headquarters that are capable of renting out their boardrooms etc? Bars, cafes and restaurants could also work depending on their size and your needs so it might be worth considering a couple.
If you would like a head start on your search have a look at what the Sydney and Brisbane Unique Venues Association have on offer – www.suva.com.au or www.buva.com.au.
Happy venue shopping!
